What to Expect During Rath Yatra in Puri
The festival unfolds over many days, beginning with the Snana Yatra (the ceremonial bath of the deities), followed by the main Rath Yatra day when the three chariots are pulled from the Singhadwara to the Gundicha Temple. The deities rest there for a week, after which They return in the Bahuda Yatra (return chariot journey). Throughout this period, the Grand Road is the centre of the universe for devotees — and our location puts you at its heart.
